Throw a house party to defeat Prop. 8
Many supporters have asked us how they can help our efforts to defeat Proposition 8.

One of the easiest ways to support the campaign is to host a house party or fundraising event. It’s easy. And you can host the event anywhere—at your home, a local hall, the city park, or in your best friend’s backyard.

We make it simple to host a Get Engaged NO on 8 fundraising event. Download our host kit, which has everything you need to throw a successful event, including party ideas, successful ways to build an invitation list and fundraising tips.

Last week, Equality California also introduced our new online tool, My EQCA. With My EQCA you can email your friends and ask them to vote NO on 8, track their responses and raise money for the campaign — all online.

In order to defeat Prop. 8 in November, we need to match the millions of dollars our opponents are raising and identify and motivate millions of voters. We can’t do that without you.

Visit www.eqca.org/GetEngaged to start planning your fundraising event. And become a My EQCA member so you – and your friends – can get involved in this important campaign.
With these two tools at your disposal, what are you waiting for?

Thank you for your support,
Geoff Kors

Welcome To Vallejo Gay Network (VGN) Minimize
About the Vallejo Gay Network

Vallejo Gay Network is a group of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transsexual, Questioning and Gay Friendly folks who gather monthly for social interaction and support.

The organization began in Vallejo in 1998 as a small group of friends who gathered occasionally for dining or a movie and has grown to what it is today.  Our current membership has grown to over 400 people and includes members primarily from Solano county but surrounding counties as well.  Our monthly gatherings, usually a member hosted pot luck, are attended by as few as 10 to as many as 100 guests.  There are other group wide organized events and many smaller special interest events.

Our group has purposely remained a "social organization".  We do not endorse any political  agenda or candidate or have any special cause.  But it is California so, yes, our members are involved in many activist groups along with other arts and social organizations.

The Vallejo LGTBQ community is active in every aspect of Vallejo life and serves and participates on boards and in organizations from the Vallejo Symphony to the Humane Society.

Our website provides links to many LGTBQ organizations in the Bay Area.  It is also a center of information for our members and gives them a forum to relay their individual business or social interests.  If you would like to become a member please register.  This will give you access to our events calendar, news articles and member classifieds.

Phone Bank for NO ON PROP 8

The San Francicso NO ON PROP 8 organization needs help to man the phone banks. If you or someone you know can take a few hours one or several days to man the phone banks, please contact Hannah Jannsun of Equality California (323) 251-9254 or Jay Lee of NO on PROP 8 (415) 994-2789.

We have less than 80 days to persuade the undecided voter to vote NO on Prop 8 , the proposition to ban gay marriage in the California Constitution.

Please pass this request forward to your friends. And help out. If you are multi-lingual that would really be helpful. You don't have to agree with the institution of marriage. but we need to retain the right to choose and not be treated differently. Thank you.
