Welcome To Vallejo Gay Network (VGN) Minimize
About the Vallejo Gay Network

Vallejo Gay Network is a group of Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, Transsexual, Questioning and Gay Friendly folks who gather monthly for social interaction and support.

The organization began in Vallejo in 1998 as a small group of friends who gathered occasionally for dining or a movie and has grown to what it is today.  Our current membership has grown to over 400 people and includes members primarily from Solano county but surrounding counties as well.  Our monthly gatherings, usually a member hosted pot luck, are attended by as few as 10 to as many as 100 guests.  There are other group wide organized events and many smaller special interest events.

Our group has purposely remained a "social organization".  We do not endorse any political  agenda or candidate or have any special cause.  But it is California so, yes, our members are involved in many activist groups along with other arts and social organizations.

The Vallejo LGTBQ community is active in every aspect of Vallejo life and serves and participates on boards and in organizations from the Vallejo Symphony to the Humane Society.

Our website provides links to many LGTBQ organizations in the Bay Area.  It is also a center of information for our members and gives them a forum to relay their individual business or social interests.  If you would like to become a member please register.  This will give you access to our events calendar, news articles and member classifieds.

Support Our Youth:

This is your chance to make a huge difference with very little effort!! To be young and Gay in Solano County can be very difficult, especially without support. Currently the Center is organizing new connections to serve our youth ages 10 to 18. To do this we need to raise $1500 for insurance to cover this age group. We need your help now to assure our kids will get the support they need to find their niche in their community. Without your help this opportunity may never happen - at least not in the near future!

So join with others to make a difference today (every donations counts) - Go online at Solanopride.org or send a check to The Solano Pride Center at 1025 Missouri St. ste203D, Fairfield, CA. 94533. Designate the funds to go to the Solano Pride Center with a memo noting for "youth fund"

SPC Youth connections goal: to create safe enriching fun diverse social environments for youth in Solano County. In keeping with the Solano Pride's Mission Statement, all youth connections will provide an environment dedicated to providing support for the development of self-esteem, confidence, identity and assurance of place in our community for each participant who attends. This group is inclusive and does not discriminate. All youth in Solano County between the ages of 10 and 14 are welcome and encouraged to attend the appropriate Connection.

...
Objectives: The environments will consist of hands-on activities, community envolvement and lively discussions lead by qualified presenters. Activities will support the participants in their search for their own unique identity as well as to learn how to meaningfully work together in a diverse environment. The Youth Connections are Inclusive. They exist to celebrate the uniqueness in us all and to provide a safe environment where these differences come together to work together for a better community.

Just Click on the link below to got to SolanoPride.org now and make a huge difference with very little effort!! All donations count!

Thank you for caring!!
